Have the subject mentioned version and tried to merge a large number of
individual PDFs into one large one. This worked, but when I did the
recognize text function to make keywords, I kept getting the following
error: "Acrobat could not perform recognition (OCR) on this page
because: This page contains renderable text." To get around this issue,
I followed the procedure here:

http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-could-perform-recognition-acrobat.html

However, I ended up with over 3300 TIFFs making a very large folder. I
was able to then make a new PDF out of the TIFFs and then I could apply
recognize text function without trouble.

This process consumed a lot of time and used up disk space. Since I am
still using Pro X and XI has been out, I am wondering if this issue has
been corrected in the XI version. I may make the upgrade if so.

Thank you,
Jason

It was saying that on that page or pages it didn't not do Original Character
Recognition (OCR) because there was already "test" to work with and thus
"renderable text".

This is not an error. This was just an explanation statement indicating
that fact.
