This error has occurred multiple times using different applications. For example trying to create a pdf document while using Quickbooks, Netscape, Internet explorer, AutoCad, Outlook, etc. When printing to pdf the following error is generated: "Adobe pdf creation cannot continue because acrobat is not activated." I am using Windows XP and Adobe Professional 8. The product has been activated.

In addition the only way I found to fix this problem is to deactivate and uninstall the product then reinstall and reactivate. This takes time and is rather annoying to do every week.

I get this same problem, but only from Internet Explorer (IE 7). I'm
running Acrobat 8.0 Professional with Office 2007 Ultimate and Vista
Ultimate.

There are many problems with Acrobat 8 Pro and Office 2007. Adobe (in
other articles) mentions that Adobe will release an update before
June/07. Arrrggg!

I'm running Vista Ultimate/Office 2007. I had this same problem when
attempting to print from Internet Explorer to the Adobe PDF printer.
The problem is the "Protected Mode" in IE 7. To use the Adobe PDF
Printer correctly, I had to disable Protected Mode for the site I was
attempting to print from. I just added the site to my Trusted Sites,
which does not hvae Protected Mode enabled. You can change these
settings in "Internet Options" -> Security Tab.

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Jason

I'm getting the same error, trying to save data files from a particular web site. Otherwise, I can create PDF's from all kinds of other sources without the problem.

Me too in some applications but not all. But I get the warning and then it just carries on as normal and produces the PDF file.

I am having same (Activation problem ) message when trying to print PD
from open document in other applications. Problem only occured sinc
getting Acrobate 8

How to activate Acrobat 8
ACTIVATE SOFTWAR
If the Activation dialog box isn’t already open, choose Help
Activation > Activate.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If you want to install the software on a different computer, yo
must first deactivate the software on your computer: Choose Help
Activation > Deactivate.

When I do this it shows activate greyed out and has de-activate optio
enabled. So why does it say active now and try again
