Please don't tell me to upgrade to newer software. The cost is
prohibitive.

I'm very comfortable with it, as well.

I just "upgraded" from XP to Win 7 64-bit, and the following good-old
apps could be a problem:

Acrobat 7 Pro

IPagemaker 7

Photoshop 7 (This does install and work so far, but I'm holding my
breath.)

Illustrator 10

Before I wade into this, I'd appreciate any suggestions/advice on how
to do the best install. Any yweaks, tips, etc.?

TIA

I believe with a little effort you can run 32-bit Win XP as a virtual machine. Technically all you need is vmplayer, ISO of Win XP, and lots of RAM :)

Acrobat 7 is vulnerable and Adobe has dropped support on it as well as the fact it is not
Win7 compliant. Your use of Acrobat 7 is contraindicated.
